Rating: 4.5 / 5 (from 1 reviewers)

Cuisine: International, Chinese, Asian

All vegan, generally Chinese but with various eclectic additions to the menu, and really awesome mock-meat renditions of basically anything you can imagine. The menu is gigantic, tons of choices, and friendly service, and unsurprisingly can be pretty busy at meal times.

Yet another restaurant i wish was closer to me so I could go there more often. VP2 is a bit of a sister restaurant to Red Bamboo next door. I believe they actually have the same owner and possibly share a kitchen, though that last part is speculative. I have also heard it said that one can order from the Red Bamboo menu in this restaurant, but I always feel like if I'm doing that like they're offended that I don't want to eat from their menu. Might be worth asking. Anyway, the food is basically a Chinese version of Red Bamboo. The menu is even bigger and filled with fake meats. They have a bunch of very crispy fried chicken dishes, and virtually every other kind of vegetarian meat or fish you could think of. The dim-sum selection is also a good bet here since you'd get to share and taste a lot of different items, whereas the entree portions like Red Bamboo are a little over-the-top and unless you have a big party, you're unlikely to have room to taste anything else except what is on your plate. The room is a bit bigger than Red Bamboo's it seems, though at peak times it's still not so easy to get in here, but easier than Red Bamboo. The menu is entirely vegan and everything I've had tastes pretty great. The service is pretty friendly and the food tends to come out pretty quick here in my experience. Prices are comparable with Red Bamboo, but considering I've never left even remotely hungry and that everything tastes fantastic, and that usually I have leftovers, it's all a great deal.
