Babycakes is the best vegan bakery in New York. I tend towards the sweet, my favorites being the cupcakes, cookies, or brownies, but they have a big selection of baked goods like biscuits and muffins from which to choose. Just follow your nose when you walk in the door. People with gluten allergies will find tons of choices, and everything tastes fantastic. They don't even use sugar, only agave syrup which they also sell in case you like to bake. The service and decor are both very cute and pink. Not much room to sit down, but a few spots where one can linger enough to savor a snack. It is a bit on the expensive side, not outrageous, but the stuff they make is fantastic and once you taste it, you won't think about the prices.
