Angon is an amazing Bangladeshi and Indian restaurant which is way better than 90% of the places on Curry Row. They serve meat too, but there is a large vegetarian section with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Great service, very friendly.

Angon is my favorite restaurant on 6th St. It exists in a sea of Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants in what is perhaps the best known neighborhood for that sort of good. Though much of the food on the block is passable, Angon excels in every possible way. The cost is slightly more but it is hardly expensive and certainly worth the extra quality. I have been here dozens of times and never been disappointed. Though they serve meat, the vegetarian and vegan options are numerous and they are very happy to accommodate whatever requests you care to make.
Particular favorites of mine are the Mulligatawny soup, the Pani Puri, the Samosas and Aloo Tikka, the Chana Masala, the Dal Fry, and the Vegetable Tandoori.
